Today, I was invited to speak on a panel at the TechMuch Blogger Conference! I met some amazing faces in the food blogging space and some fantastic fellow PR folks. Thanks to Nichelle and Babette for inviting me to participate on the panel!
TechMunch is an intensive one-day workshop for food bloggers to bring them up-to-speed on all the latest tools and tactics for building buzz, improving SEO, growing audience and making money from their hard work. I spoke on a panel called “Building and Implementing Your PR Plan” with Hilary Allard of The Castle Group/Food4Media, Erik Deutsch of ExcelPR Group. Moderated by Sarah Morgan of MCS Healthcare Public Relations, the panel served as a how-to for food bloggers- how to build their own PR plan, how to reach out to media, and how to tell their story to the right audiences. The panel focused on building relationships with media, and I spoke about my experience with Better4You brands and tried to provide tools and tactics for how food bloggers can create their own relationships with media.
Right after my panel, Kat Kinsman of CNN’s Eatocracy, Emily Flischaker of Bon Appetit and Allen Salkin of NYT/Slashfood went up to speak about traditional media. How exciting to be a panelist at the same conference as these folks above! It was truly a Better4You experience!
